HOW TO CREATE YOUR WELLNESS SPACE AT HOME.

Self-care has always been something I fell in love with since I was a child. As I started to grow and face real-life challenges and the busyness of life, it became so easy to feel overwhelmed by the many things happening in my life that I couldn’t even keep track of them. Sometimes I would break down in tears, not knowing exactly what to do, until I made my home my self-care space; a space where I can feel safe and accepted. I am going to show you how to make yours as well.
Someone once said, ‘The two places you can find peace are in the grave and your house.’ The only place where you should feel safe, unjudged, and appreciated is in your own home. Your house is the best place to build your ‘Sanctuary’ for your self-care and well-being. Your goal should not only be to create a room for self-care, like your gym or your yoga room, but to turn every single space into a place for yourself—your own ‘holy sanctuary.’
Self-care requires you to connect with yourself deeply, both physically and emotionally. The best place to start is your bathroom. Over time, it will extend to your bedroom, just like it did with mine. Your bedroom is the most intimate part of your house and the place you connect with most because that is where your body touches: your soap, skincare products, clothes, self-care journal, and many other things.
You have to understand that your bedroom is the safest place you will ever be. Try removing all negative thoughts from your head and space, especially when you go into your bathroom to take a bath after a long day. I usually prepare a bubble bath. Putting a scented candle can help set that mood for you.

Your kitchen should be the next place you hunt to transform. Your kitchen is the place you make the things that go into your body, and it is literally the place you go to after taking a shower in the morning.
You should have things that are good for your system, like fruits, vegetables and a lot of healthy foods. Do not just stick your refrigerator with some fizzy drinks and snacks; it should be healthy for you to consume. You should have this idea in your head that your kitchen is a resting place, and your resting place can never betray you, and that also means the things you put into your body.
It also helps if it has an inviting smell. Orange peels and Cinnamon should do the trick, or this works just fine.

With these two most intimate places done, with time, every inch of your house will start to feel the same way; a place where you can’t be judged and you always feel safe and appreciated. It will be a place of peace you can’t find elsewhere.
